New WP2 reports now available in the Research section
Task 2.1 provides the theoretical foundations of the project. Each country team developed one historical case study, resulting in a total of nine analyses. As part of this work, guidelines were prepared to support partners in selecting cases for the historical analysis of social dialogue across nine country contexts, and the project’s conceptual framework and WP2 research design plan were finalized. The teams also conducted a meta-analysis of the economic history of the selected cases (covering a 5-20-year period starting from the 1990s), mapping regional developments with a focus on: disruptive technologies and key challenges, how they were addressed, and the role and influence of workers in these processes. The analyses were based on sources such as local and regional statistics, existing surveys, and local government reports.
Task 2.2 includes the analysis and write-up of nine historical cases. The reports focus on mapping events and social dynamics in line with the project’s conceptual framework, with particular attention to the long-term effects of transformations and their impact on equality. They also present local social dialogue dynamics, including: challenges discussed in public debate, proposed solutions, socio-economic equality and inclusivity considerations, and reflections on confrontation or consensus-seeking in social dialogue.
